Dear Friends,
As I prepare this article, it is 103 degrees outside, with no end to high daily temperatures in sight. Sigh. If you have been around Central Texas for a few years, you remember the record-breaking summer of 2011. It is good for us to recall and practice what we learned that year: stay indoors when we can; practice patience as often as we can; conserve water; conserve energy.

I found this reading today, one that reminds us of what is most important.

At the entrance, my bare feet on the dirt floor,
Here, gusts of heat; at my back, white clouds.
I stare and stare. It seems I was called for this:
To glorify things just because they are.

Yes, do that.

Much love and many blessings,
Rev Jill
