Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for seeking ways to volunteer at Unity Church of Wimberley!  There's a lot going on and we're thrilled to have you on our team!  Below you'll find a list of just some of our current volunteer opportunities.  Let us know if you have additional interests and talents and we'll see if we can put them to use for the benefit of all!

  • Youth Program Teachers, Assistants and Nursery Attendants
Our UniBabies, UniTots, UniKids and UniTeens gather every Sunday during our 11am service.  Volunteers opportunities range from guiding our youth through Unity curriculum, to taking the kids on hikes on our nature trails, to being a teacher's helper, to tending to our tiniest congregants.

  • Welcome Team
The Sunday Welcome Team presents wonderful opportunities to be an integral part of creating our 11 am service.  The team arrives 30 minutes early and stays afterward for wrap-up duties.  This a great way to meet new people and prepare a warm welcoming environment for our first time visitors.

  • Prayer Chaplains
Our Prayer Chaplain program embraces the spirit of Unity's Fourth Principle: "There is power in affirmative prayer, which we believe increases our connection with God."  Prayer Chaplains are available after every Sunday service to connect with people through prayer.  A retreat is held annually to train new chaplains and refresh out returning chaplains.

  • Lawn Rangers
Bring your tractor, your lawn mower, or your weed eater and join our Lawn Ranger team!  The gratification after a Lawn Ranger Saturday comes not only from the groomed grounds, but from the camaraderie and good team lunches!

  • Garden Angels
Our beautiful xeriscaped flower gardens present never ending opportunity to the gardening enthusiast along with those who just love to pull weeds!  Through drought and floods, through all four seasons, they're calling for tender loving care.

  • Noah's Helpers
With over one mile of planned nature trails, here's a naturalist's dream: from  clearing trails, to spreading mulch, to creating  signs, feeding birds, and otherwise creating an environment that nurtures all of God's creatures.  With our official Wildlife Preserve status, the fun outdoor projects abound.

  • Sunday Lunches
One of our favorite traditions is Sunday Lunch which is served immediately following the 11am service.  Sunday Lunch is a wonderful way to prolong our Sunday experience by enjoying a delicious meal while chatting with old and new friends alike.  We invite any group of 6 to dozen to host a Sunday Lunch which means: planning, cooking (catering's okay, too!), setting up, serving, and cleaning up.
