Peaceful Coziness

Dear Friends,  Wow, chilly weather came in like gangbusters, from summery heat to late fall temperatures! This kind of weather and change of seasons make me feel more reflective and internal, probably from an ancient instinct to settle in and stay warm around cave fires and tent circles. I've heard many of you express the same. So our November and December classes will honor that feeling---less about class learning and more about guided reflection.

For the three Wednesday nights in November (eliminating the day before Thanksgiving), we will be considering the writings in a booklet based on the classic pamphlet The Golden Key, originally written by the great Divine Science minister Emmet Fox. The new booklet contains short articles expanding upon those ideas and will be available for a suggested $1 love offering. We will select particular passages, affirmations, or scriptures that you are most drawn to, sit in silent reflection and short discussion, then move on to another. Please note the time change: we will meet from 6:00-7:30 p.m., and you may arrive late, or come and go as you please.

In December, the sanctuary will be open on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 p.m. (later if requested) with meditative music and candlelight for your private meditation for as long or short as you please. Between Kit and me, at least one of us will be available for personal prayer/treatment if you wish. Again, you may come and go quietly at your discretion. Our purpose is to allow you a place of respite and renewal during the busy holiday season without a particular book or agenda to add to your busy-ness.

Wishing you a cozy peace,

Rev. Jill

P.S. Our final class on "The Anatomy of the Spirit" (7th Chakra) will be next Wednesday at the regular time, 6:30-8:30pm.  We will be incorporating all seven crystal chiming bowls for this special class. (Thank you, Jan McGowan!)
