Hello my friends, It is important to me to stay in touch with you regularly as we continue into our new journey with each other.
Change can generate excitement and engagement, and sometimes it causes anxiety or uncertainty. It is my job and honor to walk with you through all of it. I am grateful that many of you have communicated with me already with support, questions, and your own stories of adjustment.
So, as I've said before, please don't hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will try to respond as quickly as possible.
Here are some of our upcoming events (that you may have already seen announced in last week's newsletter or on the website).
- Chaplain and Prayer Team Training: Saturday, April 28, 1-4 p.m. If you are on one of these teams and have not yet contacted me about your ability to attend this session, please do so as soon as possible. Click here to email me.
- The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity Class: based on the book by Edwene Gaines: the first four Wednesdays in May, starting on the 2nd. Click here to purchase the book. If you plan to attend any or all of the sessions, please sign up on the bulletin board in the Fireside Room or click here to email the church office.
- New Member Orientation: Sunday, May 6, immediately after Potluck, in the Sanctuary. If you plan to attend, please click here to email the church office.
In other news, seven (seven!) of our Y.O.U. are attending a rally this weekend at Camp Young Judea. Our group is co-hosting with the Y.O.U. from Unity Church of the Hills, and our Maggie Alderman will be sponsoring the weekend with our young people.
We are also moving toward refining our team lists to better offer volunteer opportunities. We will eventually be forming a Leadership Team of all team leaders for better communication and idea-sharing.
You can also expect an efficient way of scheduling events as our calendar gets busier. For now, if you are planning an event that is not regularly recurring on the church calendar, please send your request to email@example.com.
Please join us this Sunday! I will be speaking on "Begin With Prayer," a relevant topic for all of us, anytime, anywhere, under any circumstances.
Always a pleasure to serve you, with love and blessings,
Rev. Jill Carey
