Group Leaders
Our Unity Home Groups are all led by group leaders with special training in
creating safe, nurturing learning environments for small groups. While
each group meeting is designed to foster equal participation among group
members, the group leader has special training in applying Unity principles to
daily living, utilizing affirmative prayer, and helping to develop new leaders
within the group.
To find out more about becoming a Home Group leader, contact Mindy
Audlin at 512.847.6587 or attend an upcoming training.

Basic
Requirements
Prospective Home Group leaders must fulfill the following requirements:
-
Participate in an existing Home Group for a period of at
least two months (may be waived in special circumstances to those beginning
remote groups.)
-
Attend two three-hour training
sessions:
The primary focus of the first training is to give an overview of the logistics
of leading a group, as well as determining the spiritual benefits of
leadership to each prospective leader.
The primary focus of the second training is to equip the group leader with
special skills for small group facilitation and affirmative prayer.
-
Complete the New Leader information and commitment forms.
-
Commit to serving your group according to your agreement
until new leaders can be trained to replace you.
-
Commit to mentoring others once you have successfully grown
your group.
-
Take advantage of ongoing opportunities to grow in your
understanding of Unity principles (participate in educational
retreats, workshops and classes as you are
able).

Spiritual
Benefits
It is through giving that we receive, and we know that through helping
others apply spiritual principles, we are blessed with a deeper understanding of
how those principles can help us live in joy and abundance.
To facilitate an environment for spiritual development is one of
the most rewarding gifts you may give yourself. We invite you to spend
time in prayer considering if Home Group leadership is a part of your spiritual
path.
"The Lord has given me the heart of a teacher that I
may sustain the weary with a word." - Isaiah 50:4
